SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed with regards to the higher quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The provider level produced for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of likely beneficiaries, website which makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to help the servicing of all consumers and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
